Why does healthcare.gov show me only bad insurance options

I’m using healthcare.gov to find insurance and estimated my income at $47,000 a year. The site is only showing me 98 options, and none of them seem good. Is there a way to see better plans?

Unfortunately, the plans you see might be the only ones available in your area for your income level.

Well, that’s disappointing. I was hoping for more options.

When you say terrible, do you mean the premiums are too high or the coverage isn’t what you’re looking for? Tax credits and other factors can change the options you qualify for, so more details might help.

Yeah, it’s frustrating. You’re not alone in feeling this way.
