Which health insurance provider, United Healthcare or Aetna, offers better customer service?

My new job gives me health insurance options from United Healthcare or Aetna. I’m not sure which one to pick because they both cover the same things. The only difference seems to be the network of doctors and hospitals. I’ve searched online, and people say to pick the one that works with the doctors I want to see. But that doesn’t help me here.

So, my question is, does anyone have a good reason to choose one over the other? I care about good customer service. Which one do you all think has better customer service?

While neither is great, UHC has a genius at avoiding any type of customer service.

The decision between United Healthcare and Aetna for health insurance is based on a few essential variables.
First, compare coverage alternatives. Consider what each plan covers, such as doctor visits, hospital stays and medicines.Next, consider the costs. Compare your monthly rates, deductibles and any co-pays or co-insurance that may apply.
Determine whether your current doctors and hospitals are in-network for each plan. Consider any additional perks that each insurer provides, including as wellness programs or telemedicine choices.
Read reviews to learn how people rated their experiences with each insurer. Finally, consider any unique health needs you may have, such as maternity care or mental health services.
Remember, it’s not wise to jump into a plan simply for the sake of having insurance peace of mind matters :peace_symbol:

Aetna, being smaller than UnitedHealthcare, doesn’t have the same financial resources. UnitedHealthcare has a large network and many affiliates, which can be overwhelming.
If your job offers health insurance options from UnitedHealthcare and Aetna, you’re not limited to just those choices. You have the freedom to look into other health insurance providers outside of what your workplace offers. :point_left:

Have you considered the possibility of best customer care but limited services? Anyway, that is not my point. I have used UnitedHealthcare for a long time and I can comfortably say that their customer care has never disappointed me at any point that is why I will recommend it to you.
In addition, UnitedHealthcare (UHC) offers the largest Medicare Advantage network, with over 1 million network care providers hence proving that it is one of the best in the market.
