What do you think of St. Mary’s Health Insurance changes for 2025?

I just read about the updates coming to St. Mary’s Health Insurance in 2025. They’re adding things like expanded preventative care, better coverage for chronic conditions, and new digital tools. But they’re also adjusting premiums, which might mean higher costs for some of us. Has anyone else looked into these changes? Are they worth it, or are the premium hikes too much?

I saw that too. The preventative care updates sound great, but I’m worried about how much my premium might go up. It feels like every year it gets harder to keep up.

Same here. The expanded preventative care could save money in the long run, but it’s hard to justify if the upfront costs are too high.

@Isan
I agree. It might help some people, but for those of us on a tight budget, even a small increase feels huge.

I’m actually excited about the new digital tools they’re introducing. Online claim management and real-time updates could make things so much easier to handle.

I like the idea too, but I wonder how user-friendly it will be. Some of these systems can be pretty clunky when they launch.

@Uma
True. Hopefully, they’ll have tutorials or support to help people get used to the changes.

I’ve been with St. Mary’s for years, and I think their focus on chronic conditions is overdue. If they actually lower medication costs, that could be a big win for people like me.

Definitely. I have asthma, and the cost of meds has been tough. If this makes a difference, I’m all for it.

@Zeke
It’s worth checking with their customer service to see how it applies to your plan. Sometimes the details make all the difference.

I like that they’re trying to modernize, but the transition to new digital systems might be tough for older folks or those who aren’t tech-savvy.

That’s a good point. They should offer more support or even in-person help to make it easier for everyone to adjust.

@AdjusterGreg
Exactly. Otherwise, some people might avoid using the tools altogether, which defeats the purpose.

Premium hikes aside, it’s good to see them expanding preventative care. Free screenings and wellness check-ups can make a big difference for a lot of people.

Agreed. Preventative care saves money in the long run, but only if people can afford the premiums to begin with.

@Beck
True. Hopefully, the subsidies they’re talking about will help balance things out for lower-income policyholders.
