Health insurance plans in NYC, where should I start?

Hi there,

I recently relocated to NYC from Europe. There, healthcare is provided differently. I don’t apply to be enrolled in Obamacare or Medicaid.

I have no idea how to select an insurance plan. I have been looking for a plan on the NY State of Health marketplace website. Is this the sole method for selecting a health insurance plan? How to apply for and use the Estimate Financial Help?

Any assistance you may provide will be much valued. I’m not exactly sure how this operates.

Start by visiting the New York State of Health Marketplace to compare health insurance plans in NYC. Evaluate options based on coverage, premiums, and networks. Consider major providers like EmblemHealth, Oscar, and UnitedHealthcare, and check eligibility for financial assistance.

Navigating health insurance in NYC can be complex, especially coming from a different system. The NY State of Health marketplace is a key resource, but you may also explore options directly with insurers or seek assistance from a health insurance broker or navigator. Financial help can be estimated through the marketplace application.
