Does anyone know what health insurance options are available for students at William Jewell College? I’ve heard there’s a plan included with tuition, but I’m curious if it’s any good or if waiving it for a different plan is better. Any tips?
William Jewell requires all full-time students to have health insurance. They offer a plan through BlueKC, which is included in your tuition. It covers doctor visits, hospitalization, prescriptions, mental health, and even dental.

Same here. Waiving the school plan was easy—just had to show proof of coverage.

True, I went with the ‘Smart’ plan for $31/month. It was simple to set up, and the coverage is solid.

I picked the ‘Budget’ plan for $52/month. It’s a bit more, but I wanted higher coverage limits.
If you decide to waive the school’s plan, make sure your policy covers everything they require. I submitted my waiver online, and it got approved in two days.
