Hello everyone, my partner is presently receiving mental health insurance via Community Partners in Pennsylvania through Medicaid. Our income is very low, and although we are having him file for SSI, the process is taking a long time. His demands for mental health care are really high, thus I believe we will need to switch insurance. Since I’ve never done this before, I’m anxious about the expenses and making sure I don’t get duped. Is there anyone who can offer guidance? I’d like some recommendations from anyone who also resides in Pennsylvania.

Medicaid in PA is decent but switching can be tricky. Check out other state programs or local clinics; some offer sliding scales. Also, look into community health centers.
