Does Aetna CVS Health 2025 TX Gold 10 cover cancer treatment at Texas Oncology? What about other marketplace plans?

Hey everyone,

I’ve been trying to figure out if Texas Oncology is covered under the Aetna CVS Health 2025 TX Gold 10 Advanced: HMO + Adult Dental + Vision plan. I called Aetna, checked my EOB, and even looked up my doctors on the healthcare marketplace. My oncologist shows up as in-network, but Texas Oncology’s website says they accept commercial Aetna plans.

Since marketplace plans aren’t technically ‘commercial,’ I’m a little confused. Are marketplace plans considered commercial or is that a different category? I want to make sure I can stay with Texas Oncology or possibly go to MD Anderson if needed.

Any advice or clarification would be greatly appreciated! Also, let me know if I need to add more info.

My dad passed from cancer, so I’m looking into MD Anderson and Texas Oncology as options. Thanks for the help!

Marketplace plans are commercial. They’re just bought through the marketplace. They aren’t like Medicaid or Medicare. The subsidies you get from the marketplace are basically tax credits in advance, not direct government funding.
