I have been attempting to solve this for a while, but I have been unable because nothing on the internet is clear-cut and Aetna has the worst customer support. I see an out-of-network therapist, so any assistance is already greatly welcomed. I have a ton of extra bills from her that I would like to submit for reimbursement or to apply toward my deductible; I am not sure how that works precisely, however I am at a loss as to where or how to go for it. Could someone please tell me how that procedure works or where I might be missing something on the internet or in the app? Many thanks for that!
hi subscribers to aetna listen remember to retain a copy of your super bill and any accompanying documentation you submit for your own records. It’s advisable to verify with Aetna directly regarding any specific requirements or limitations concerning super bill reimbursement under your plan.
Here’s how to submit a superbill to Aetna for reimbursement: After receiving treatment, ask your provider for a detailed superbill that includes your diagnosis codes, procedure codes, dates of service, provider information, and the amount you paid. Make sure it’s signed by your provider. Log in to your Aetna member website and select “Submit a Claim” under the “Claims & Accounts” section. Follow the prompts to complete the claim form and upload your superbill. Alternatively, you can mail your completed claim form and superbill to the address listed on the form. Aetna will process your claim and reimburse you directly based on your plan benefits. Be sure to submit your claim within the timely filing limit, usually 12-15 months from your date of service. If you have any questions, contact Aetna Member Services. With your superbill and claim form, you can get reimbursed for your out-of-pocket costs for eligible services.
