Hey all,
I recently switched health insurance plans and just got a bill for a medical procedure I had done before the switch. Does anyone know if my new insurance will cover this old bill? Any advice on how to handle this situation?
Thanks!

All claims with service dates within the period when the prior insurance was in effect will be covered. It makes no difference how long it takes the physicians to submit them, how long it takes to process them, or whether you fire them before all of that occurs. Based only on the date of service.
When I purchased new health insurance due to an existing illness, I discovered that only the procedures occurring after the coverage began are covered by the new policy.
