What is the process of Seeking Reviews on Ambetter Meridian?

Hey Pals

I’m considering signing up for Ambetter Meridian health insurance and would appreciate hearing about others’ experiences with it. Can anyone share their reviews or opinions on Ambetter Meridian? How is their coverage, customer service, and overall satisfaction? Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated before I make a decision.

Thanks in advance…

Yeah, those bad reviews are true. My friend had Ambetter last year, and it was a mess—lots of denials even with authorizations, and their network is tiny. Dealing with billing problems was a total nightmare.

I had a bad experience with their customer service. It was a total nightmare. Every time I phoned, it lasted at least two hours. The enrolling procedure was exceedingly frustrating, and even after I made my first payment, I did not receive my insurance card for three months.

Even though this might be an older review, I wanted to share my positive experience with Ambetter. As a college student earning $16 an hour part-time, I can’t afford most insurance plans. My premium is just $14 a month, and for most routine visits, like seeing a primary care doctor or a therapist, I pay nothing. The copays are also very low. The only drawback is that the provider list on their website isn’t always up-to-date, so I have to call each provider to confirm they accept Ambetter instead of assuming. It took some time, but I eventually found a great therapist and primary care doctor, so I’m satisfied. I called customer service once with a question, and they were quick and helpful. A friend with a similar income level also uses Ambetter and has had no problems. Overall, I would give it 4 stars.

I have Ambetter. They did pay out on a large surgery, but there’s problems with some of the labs/specialists. Providers recommended from their websites do not take their insurance. I just spent 2 hours just trying to get transferred to someone in Louisiana. They kept me on hold, told me they didn’t have that information, transferred me to someone else in India 4 times, and hung on on me twice.

I like Ambetter but it seems like the drs offices and clinics don’t. I noticed they are ruder to people with Ambetter than they are others. At least in my town. Also there’s some medicines they don’t cover
