I’ve been hearing about updates to St. Mary’s health insurance plans for 2025, including some contract changes and new policy options. Has anyone looked into this yet? I’m especially curious about how the premiums and coverage might change. Any insights?
Yeah, I read that they’re ending their contract with Regence BlueShield starting January 2025. That’s going to affect network availability, so you might want to check if your provider is still covered.
@Ari
I need to look into that too. Do you know if they’re adding any new providers or just cutting existing ones?

Not sure yet, but I’d recommend checking their updates closer to January. They usually announce new contracts if any.
I’m wondering how the premium adjustments will play out. They mentioned changes, but no specifics yet. Could this mean higher costs for all plans?

Possibly. They usually adjust premiums based on policy updates and benefits. Hopefully, they’ll announce something before the enrollment deadline.

If premiums go up, it might be a good time to compare ACA Marketplace plans. Sometimes they offer better deals with subsidies.
Does anyone know if there are changes to deductibles or out-of-pocket maximums? That’s a big factor for me when choosing a plan.

I think they hinted at adjustments, but no solid details yet. It’s worth reviewing the plan documents as soon as they’re updated.

Same here. High deductibles can make a plan look less appealing, even with lower premiums.
What’s the enrollment deadline for these plans? I don’t want to miss out if I need to switch.

The Open Enrollment Period is from November 1, 2024, to January 15, 2025. But if you want coverage starting January 1, you need to apply by December 15.

Don’t forget about Special Enrollment if you have a qualifying life event. That can give you extra time to enroll.
Anyone else find the Affordable Care Act subsidies helpful for these plans? They’ve made my premiums way more manageable.

Absolutely. The tax credits really help, especially with Silver plans. If you qualify, it’s a game changer.

I agree. Just make sure your income info is accurate when applying to get the right subsidy amount.
