I’ve phoned CalOptima twice about my Medi-Cal, but I lost my ID, so I thought I would inquire what precisely Medi-Cal covers and how much as the summarized and full PDFs they offer are still a little hazy.
Is it certain that I won’t have to pay anything if it falls under the network and the service I’m looking for is covered? Since not everyone is offered Medi-Cal equally, I’m not sure if I heard that correctly, but I don’t see any explicit reference of it in the files we received, so maybe I missed it.
Medi-Cal does pay dental cleanings. Denti-Cal covers practically all preventative procedures, including X-rays, cleanings, cavity fillings, root canals and tooth-saving crowns (not porcelain). It is also beneficial to seal teeth that have never had a cavity to prevent one from developing.
My share-of-cost for Medi-I feel like I’m a deductible that resets every month. In my experience, it’s primarily useful for unexpected situations. I strongly advise against canceling your primary insurance.
Are you receiving Medi-Cal as a parent? I recommend checking out Sneede. When my child receives non-exempt income, like when grandma gives them $5 a month, it leads to some unexpected consequences, resulting in a significant decrease in our share-of-cost. It could potentially be zero dollars. I can’t really explain it, it just doesn’t make sense to me.
It includes checkups with your doctor (primary care), visits to specialists, medications you need, and even dental care if it’s medically necessary. The best part? Most Medi-Cal beneficiaries don’t have to pay extra fees for these services.
