I’m 31, living in New York, and currently unemployed, looking for health insurance. My dad suggests I sign up for a plan with Strategic Limited Partners, LP. I have no clue what that is, but it seems like a scam to me, not real health insurance. Does anyone know about this? Is it a trustworthy health insurance provider?
The first red flag of Strategic Limited Partners is that they are not listed as a licensed insurance company, which means they may not be able to pay out any claims.
In addition, they offer very low-cost health insurance plans.
Therefore, Strategic Limited Partners is a potential scam
It has been reported that Strategic Limited Partners (SLP) is linked to a scam. Here is how it usually plays out: You might get a call or email from someone saying they are with SLP, offering a super cheap health insurance plan. They will ask for personal details like your name, address, and birthdate, and might even want your credit card number. And that is how my elder brother was scammed. Because of this, I suggest researching trustworthy health insurance companies and making sure they are legit before you commit to anything.
I had a very bad encounter with these people. Here I am in Virginia. I was duped by this insurance company. Before I made the purchase, they guaranteed my primary care physician was covered by the network. Regretfully, I was sent away by my primary care physician. I had to pay out of pocket, and I was on the phone with the billing department’s representative. They also provide RUDE customer service. Additionally, I had to dispute my credit card because the company’s billing was incorrect. Instead of charging me for one plan, they charged me for three. I wish I hadn’t wasted my energy dealing with these snakes because their internet portal is terrible. Please don’t come near.
Thank you; this is the response I was hoping for. It’s good to have it verified.
They claim to offer cheap insurance covers but are not legit
It’s totally a scam. For me they were posing as fake insurance agents. When I called them they claimed to be the direct line for making any inquiries.
