Is healthinsurance.net legit? Or is it a scam? I need a short term insurance plan

All I need is a short-term medical plan that I can use as documentation to convince my wife to drop my employer-sponsored health insurance.

I only need to cancel it after using it for about a month. Not even I will employ the plan.

Is it possible to accomplish this? Or seem too good to be real?

Short-term plans may appear to be a quick method to save money on health insurance, but they provide little coverage and only last a few months. This may expose your wife to further expenditures if she requires medical attention. Your employer’s plan is likely to cover more and be less expensive because your job contributes to its cost. Instead of cancelling, discuss any issues your wife has with the current plan. You may be able to locate a better choice that meets your budget without sacrificing vital coverage.

Scam. It’s not health insurance.

Worried about healthinsurance.net’s legitimacy? Short-term plans might not be the answer for dropping your employer insurance. Here’s why:

  • healthinsurance.net: Legitimacy unclear, consider licensed brokers/agents for verified plans.
  • Short-term plans: not accepted for dropping employer coverage, may not cover pre-existing conditions; cancelling early might violate terms.

Better options:

  • Talk to your wife: Find a compromise together on your current employer plan.
  • Explore alternatives: Consider COBRA or state marketplaces if dropping employer plan is a must.

Short-term plans can be risky. Talk openly with your wife and explore other options for long-term security.
