I accidentally signed up for health insurance through Health for California instead of directly through Covered California. Now I’m wondering—are they legit, or should I be concerned?
I provided all my personal information on their site, and now I’m a little worried that it might not be an official site. Has anyone else used them before?

I just did the same thing and then panicked. Did you find out anything, OP?
Yeah, no need to worry. I spoke with a Covered California representative, and they confirmed that Health for California is a certified broker. They’re required to display the Covered California logo because they work under that system.
I still asked them to delete all my information from their system because I didn’t want a separate account outside of Covered California. But they are legit, so no need to stress about it!
@Harley
Same here. I made one payment when I signed up, but after that, nothing. I can’t access my bills on their site either. The only thing I could figure out was my vision coverage, but everything else is missing.
@Frost
I signed up with Kaiser, and it’s been easy to access my info directly through their site. I tried calling Health for California, but I was on hold forever.

That’s weird—I’m with Kaiser too. I got my insurance card, but there’s nothing showing up for payment on my account. I’ll call Kaiser and see what’s going on. Thanks!
I just called Covered California’s customer service, and the rep I spoke with seemed unsure. She said they aren’t affiliated with Health for California, so now I don’t even know what to think.
Has anyone had any issues actually using their insurance through them?
