How to Cancel Oscar Insurance

Hello everyone,

What is the procedure for canceling an Oscar insurance policy? I need to do this. Has anyone experienced this before in this group? What actions do I need to take, and is there anything in particular that I should know to prevent issues? I would be very grateful for any guidance or ideas.

Just do not pay and the policy will be cancelled for nonpayment.

In most states, this only applies to APTCs, which OP does not have. Without APTCs, the rule is that coverage will end when the oldest late payment hits 61 days. You’ll owe all the overdue payments, but coverage will end on that day, not earlier.

You can request cancellation by clearly stating that you wish to cancel your policy and providing a reason if required. If you’re moving providers, be prepared to supply any requested information, such as the specifics of your new insurance policy.

Thanks for the advice! I’ll make sure to clearly state my intention to cancel and have all the necessary details ready if they ask for more information. Hopefully, this will smooth out the process. Appreciate the tip!

Get in touch with Customer Service by calling the number listed on their website or on your insurance card. Tell them you want to cancel your policy, and then do as instructed. To confirm your identification, be prepared to supply personal information such as your name, policy number, and birthdate. It is a good idea to send a formal request to cancel your coverage after the call. Provide your personal details and policy number in the letter. Usually, you can transmit this by mail or email.
