My United Health Care insurance now has something called One Pass Select. For $30 a month, I can join and use lots of different gyms. But how does it work? If I join, will I get a special card that I can use at any gym listed in the membership? Or do I have to separately sign up at each gym I want to use, tell them about my One Pass, and get an access card from them?
Just a heads up: regardless of when in the month you enroll, you will be charged for the full month if you don’t read the entire set of terms and sign up online. I recently discovered this the hard way. On March 29, I enlisted and was charged $180 for the monthly subscription and sign-up fee. Exactly three days later, on April 1, I was charged $150 for the month of April. I contacted to inquire about it and was told that they were unable to stop the automatic charging that occurs on the first of every month.
Yes, I’ve used One Pass Select.
It’s a comprehensive fitness membership program that gives you access to a wide network of gyms, studios, and fitness classes with a single membership. Here’s how it works:
- Subscription
You subscribe to One Pass Select through an eligible provider, like your employer or health plan.
-
Access:
Once you’re subscribed, you get access to a variety of fitness facilities and classes in the One Pass network. This can include gyms, yoga studios, swimming pools, and more. -
App/Website
You can manage your membership and find participating locations through the One Pass app or website. It’s easy to search for facilities based on location and type of workout. -
Check-In
At the facility, you usually check in using a digital pass or code provided by One Pass. Some places might require you to show an ID as well.
- Flexibility
One of the great things about One Pass Select is the flexibility to try different types of workouts and facilities without multiple memberships.
Hey there,
With One Pass Select, you’ll typically get a special card that you can use at any gym listed in the membership. It’s a convenient way to access a variety of gyms without having to sign up separately at each one. Just show your One Pass card at the gym’s front desk, and you should be good to go! It’s a great option for those who like flexibility in their workout routine. Hope that helps!
